Wayne Loveridge

Wayne Loveridge from Chard Road Runners was a worthy winner last night in a time of 37 minutes and 59 seconds, nearly a minute ahead of second place Mathew Lusby from Street Striders. Full results available below. The weather was perfect and the route had dried nicely to being quite dry but not too hard, we hope all competitors enjoyed the race, there was certainly a party atmosphere during the evening. Hot food was provided by the Friends of Haselbury School and the bar was manned by North Perrott Cricket Club members. Route marshals were all from Crewkerne Running Club, we learned long ago that the best marshals for a race are people who are runners themselves. BIG thanks to all involved.

Crewkerne Running Club is affiliated with both UK Athletics and The Association of Running Clubs which is an organisation dedicated to road and cross country running rather than track and field. An  ARC race permit  has been granted which will give all participants the same degree of protection as before. Unaffiliated runners are still required to pay an extra levy of £2.Join a club and avoid this charge, the benefits available to new members of Crewkerne Running Club are greater than the annual subscription!!

The section of the course through the grounds of Perrott Hill School is private. We only have special permission to use the route on the night of the race. If you wish to reccee the route there is a shortcut available by turning left into a field about 150 metres after the start.
Please respect the privacy of the school.
