Chris McMillan – 2019 Winner

As we are using bar codes to identify runners please pin your number to the FRONT of you running top without pinning through the bar code on your number.

This will be a great help.

Souvenir Parrett Brand apple juice made within metres of the race route.

Not long now until race day! Entries are well up and there is a chance of no entries on the day as we have imposed a 250 limit. This is largely due to parking limitations. Watch this space if you are planning to enter on the night or better still enter at FullOnSport.

At the moment the route is not too bad. Slightly wet and muddy but most of the fields have been cut and the paths through the two maize fields are wide. We have been out cutting back brambles & nettles, checking  & repairing stiles etc today to make the race as pleasant as possible. The weather forecast is unsettled from now until Wednesday but we hope that the course will dry out slightly. Trail shoes are fairly essential to have a safe, enjoyable run.

Covid restrictions are minimal, we are spreading out the registration process but will have the bar open and food available. Whatever you are happy with is fine, within reason. If you want to wear a face covering at the start/finish etc.  Marshals at drinks stations will be issued with gloves and although we are supplying single use plastic cups they will all be recycled.

The section of the course through the grounds of Perrott Hill School is private. We only have special permission to use the route on the night of the race. If you wish to reccee the route there is a shortcut available by turning left into a field about 150 metres after the start.
